New resident at Chez Reid: Buckminster "Bucky" Fuller Reid. We had the Embark DNA test done and the results broke all the betting brackets. In fact, the results are the doggie DNA equivalent of that old country song "I've Been Everywhere." Repeat after Bucky: I've got Beagle, Chow Chow, Russel terrier, Pekingese, American Pit Bull, German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, Shih Tzu, Chihuahua, Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd, I've got everything, man!" There's been some bodacious doggie doings going on in southwestern Virginia, let me tell ya! So welcome Bucky. He's smart, active, and doesn't appear to have a mean bone in his body. Cece dog was not happy in the beginning with the newcomer's constant playful attention, but she's coming around and Bucky's learned to dial it back, and while they may not yet be best buds, they are spending more and more time playing.

Okay, I'd add pictures, but all I get are tiny icon placeholders and the picture description. Can anyone advise why the embedding links aren't working?

Welcome, Bucky! The embedding of the images seems borked at present, but the dog himself looks like a sweetheart! Look at that seal-like belly.

[edit] I can't see your image list for myself, but I could see these two just fine when I pulled them out of the code of the page. I did a straight < i m g s r c = " " > on one and it seemed to display all right for me. (Additional spaces to keep DW from trying to read it as HTML.)

That's maddening, although in this instance also very cute. Exact same HTML?

I worked on the main post some more and finally got the images to display in the preview. I think maybe it has something to do with whether I've been using Rich Text instead of HTML. If I edit strictly in HTML and insert the code while the HTML editing is selected, I think it'll work. At least for today, while I hold my head a certain way and as long as the phase of the moon doesn't change. As it is, I'm going to let the post stand as is for now and if people want pics, they can go to the comments. I'm sure I'll be trying again soon with more pics. I'll try to get a good one of him and Cece together where she's not biting his face to convey "Dude! Chill!"
